The role
The Principal Data Linkage Officer at Queensland Health is responsible for upholding the organization's core values while collaborating with branch staff to enhance data integration and facilitate the conversion of collected data into actionable information crucial for decision-making.
This role involves effective liaison and negotiation with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the quality and utility of linked data. Adherence to the Departmental Information Security Policy is paramount to safeguard the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Queensland Health's information. Additionally, the incumbent will provide expert technical and strategic guidance on data-related initiatives, national policies, and developments, while supervising and contributing to the development and performance of the data linkage capability within Queensland Health.
The successful person
To excel in this position, you must exhibit supervisory expertise and experience within a statistical information management setting, highlighting your ability to offer authoritative guidance to colleagues and clients. Moreover, you should demonstrate proficiency in providing expert governance and strategic advice on initiatives, national developments and policies for the capture, management, dissemination, manipulation and presentation of Queensland Health data.
Furthermore, you should possess experience in working with a governance framework and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive material and information.
.Additionally, you must demonstrate adeptness in effectively supervising and overseeing personnel in alignment with robust human resource management standards encompassing equity, non-discrimination, workplace safety, and ethical conduct.
