Principal Project Officer

The role
Join our team at Queensland Health and embrace our organization's core values while serving as a pivotal leader in the Statistical Analysis and Linkage Unit. Your role will involve overseeing and managing data linkage projects to empower the unit in planning and prioritizing initiatives. This includes navigating legal and governance processes for data sharing and facilitating the engagement of additional workforce necessary for ICT infrastructure development. Cultivate and nurture positive networks and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across both state and Commonwealth health sectors.
In addition to project management, you will provide invaluable support to the Unit by offering timely and expert advice to high-ranking officials such as the Minister, Director-General, and representatives of state and national government committees on critical data linkage initiatives. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting state and national data linkage-related committees, including coordinating briefings to inform complex service and project delivery. Your adept interpersonal and negotiation skills will be instrumental in advancing data linkage initiatives on both state and national levels, contributing significantly to the unit's overarching goals and priorities. Furthermore, proficiency in advanced project management is crucial, encompassing the establishment of robust governance structures, task definition, prioritization, and efficient coordination to meet deadlines consistently. Demonstrated success in delivering sustained outcomes is paramount. Additionally, possessing advanced expertise in data-related domains, including comprehension of data access governance and data linkage, is required.
