As a Solutions & Segment Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing marketing strategies for all identified segments in order to achieve ABB market penetration and growth aspirations. Proactively leading, developing and coaching the sales department in solutions combining the maximum Distribution Solutions portfolio, including Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, Digital solutions and Systems. Reporting to Local Division Manager oversee all marketing action plans to both achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensuring comprehensive understanding of local market and competitive environment.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Defining and implementing the segment marketing strategy and budget and ensures regular follow-up local product and sales teams. Driving the growth of the top line in each target segment
- Defining appropriate local targets for the sales team, based on key objectives set by global product groups and global segment leaders. Ensuring these are achieved through regular oversight, and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
- Working with respective management in identification and prioritization of new business opportunities in line with global strategic priorities, based on good understanding of local situation and global business strategies. Supports realization of prioritized opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships at senior levels with the key customers, stakeholders, and other decision makers. Ensures effective marketing communications, in particular ABB’s value proposition
- Ensuring achievement of sales volume and targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales booked locally, together with the local product marketing team
- Coaching, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Driving and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration
- Providing inputs to global strategy development, based on good understanding of local needs
- Feeds back to the Business Units/Product Groups on market trends, competitive landscape, market-pricing expectations, channel strategy and local conditions to win
**Your background**:
- Passionate marketing and/or sales professional with 10+ years of experience
- Experience in integrating and offering digital solutions
- Technical knowledge of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage (up to 33kV) switchgear and solutions
- Demonstrated marketing and/or sales planning experience and execution
- Established networks across the Utilities, Renewables, Transport & Rail, & Resources industries including Hydrogen
- Demonstrated collaboration skills
- Strong negotiation skillset
- Excellent oral and written English communication
- Results driven, and a natural leader
