**Why This Role Matters**:
The position is located in the School of Humanities and Languages, Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture, reporting to current UNSW Node Leader, Scientia Professor Alison Bashford. The Project Officer will also offer support to other UNSW Chief Investigators, currently Prof Jason Sharples, UNSW Canberra and UNSW-based Associate Investigators.

**Accountabilities**:

- Support the delivery of CIEHF - UNSW node projects and initiatives to achieve operational and strategic goals.
- Manage the grant income and expenses associated with the UNSW Node of the Centre of Excellence
- Support the development of project plans, events and schedules and participate in planning processes as required.
- Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects.
- Provide practical and proactive project support and administrative services to project team, and stakeholders
- Assess and monitor project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Develop and manage effective communications with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the project, and with Indigenous Partner Organisations.

- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Experience managing research budgets, income and expenditure
- Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
