Are you a skilled Project Officer with experience delivering capital works and infrastructure projects? Public Sector People are looking for a Project Officer to join a council in Western Sydney and assist with the end-to-end delivery of impactful projects that support their growing community.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a range of capital works projects from concept to completion
  • Oversee procurement, budgeting, and contract management
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Prepare tenders and project documentation
  • Ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality targets
  • Report on project progress and risks

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant qualifications in construction or project management
  • 2–5 years' experience working with capital works projects
  • Strong procurement experience — ideally including fleet or vehicle acquisition
  • Familiarity with TRIM and TechOne is a plus
  • Local government experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Class C Driver's Licence & Construction White Card
