**About the opportunity**
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Guidance Lead to join Energy Safe's Guidance Team within the Customer and People's Experience Division.
**You will contribute by**:
- Establish and lead our Guidance team
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of high-quality industry guidance materials.
- Develop guidance materials in a range of formats, including documents, presentations, visual and audio formats.
- Identify the stakeholder audience for each guidance piece and ensure guidance is delivered in modes most suitable for the cohort.
- Partner with industry and industry associations to drive best practice in electrical and gas safety, to increase industry knowledge and enable industry participants to operate within the regulatory framework of legislation administered by Energy Safe.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with organisational requirements, and to ensure a One ESV voice and point of view externally.
- Contribute to the oversight and maintenance of a centralised depository of knowledge.
- Liaise and provide expert advice to industry, government, training providers and other regulatory and industry bodies, with respect to industry guidance.
- Assist in identifying trends and issues and prioritise guidance material demands based on Energy Safe's priorities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of guidance materials, and implement a continuous improvement cycle to ensure all published materials remain current and valid.
- Lead or participate in a variety of special projects such as, but not limited to, training events for licensed workers.
**To be successful, you'll have**:
- Trade or higher qualifications in the electrical or plumbing/gas fields
- Current Certificate IV qualification in Training and Assessment, or willingness to undertake
- Experience in developing technical and/or regulatory guidance materials
- Knowledge of Victoria's energy safety legislation
- Broad range of electrical or gas industry knowledge and experience
- Strong and up-to-date technical knowledge of relevant electrical or gas legislation, regulations and safety standards.
- Experience in leading a small team
- Ability to operate independently, self-motivated, manage and prioritise their own complex workload, as well as ability to work effectively as part of a team of safety, educational and technical specialists.
- A high level of written skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, ability to lead, provide advice and guidance to resolve issues and introduce improvement.
- High level advocacy skills and the ability to assertively provide and deliver authoritative guidance and advice in such a way that it is possible to maintain good relationships when dealing with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver industry presentations, seminars and educational workshops.
- Computer literacy including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
