An exciting opportunity has arisen for an
**Design Assistant (Bags & Soft Accessories)** to join our Women's Accessories Design & Buying Team at Seed Heritage.

This role will be responsible for actively supporting the Soft Accessories Buyer and providing administrative assistance and some design/sketching support to the Soft Accessories Department through life cycle management.

**THE ROLE**:

- Help to sketch each product range/item and maintain updated sketches for Style Files & Range Presentations
- Collate and initiate Spec Pack for supplier handover.
- Undertake seasonal trend research.
- Attend all ranging sessions with Line Manager, Design Manager and Creative Director.
- Engage in any other design related tasks which may arise during the product life-cycle process.
- Raise all purchase orders for Women’s Accessories for all regions and send to the suppliers.
- Supply and approve all care instruction for bulk production.
- Request and follow up with suppliers on requested marketing samples as well as ensuring PR samples are available for campaign styling/shoot dates.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL**:

- Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification is preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Design or Buying Assistant role or similar
- Prior Soft Accessories and/or Bag Design experience preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Demonstrated hand sketching ability
- Understanding of graphic têxtile print also desirable
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage time effectively
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
