The Role

Looking to start your career within Design? This is your opportunity to assist in the development of the Hard & Soft Accessories range, working directly on scarves, hats, fabric bags, socks, gloves, jewellery and sunglasses.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Designer in the development of product in line with the Witchery brand Strategy and product charter -that meets customer needs and offers constant innovation.
- Research and report on trends, key ideas and fabric, yarn direction
- Assist Designer with preparation of seasonal presentation, ranging process and concept presentations
- Assist in the development and sourcing of new fabrications/yarns/and trims in alignment with seasonal trends and customer needs, in line with target GP
- Assist with post product trips duties including hanging and photographing of range
- Maintenance of range boards with changes updated on weekly basis
- Preparation of Spec packs and Sketching range
- Tracking proto development, follow up with suppliers and maintaining/ communicating key dates in weekly production meetings
- Attend relevant fittings with Designer and QA and ensure any style changes and amendments are clearly communicated to suppliers
- Responsible for sample management and filing and updating WIP, including the creation and maintenance of the PLM system
- Attend Weekly sales meetings - prepare and present samples, as well as attend Bi monthly SWOT and Rate of Sale meetings
- Attend Seasonal strategy meetings and prepare any required samples
- A tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles is preferred
- Experience with illustration software packages e.g. Adobe Illustrator
- Experience having worked in a similar design led role in a fashion business would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally across the business
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Works well within a collaborative team
