Design Assistant - Witchery (Accessories)

Purpose

An exciting opportunity for a Design Assistant to join the Witchery Accessories team, supporting the design team with product samples, administration, fit, storyboards and range concepts, ensuring the quality is maintained through the development and production stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Accessories design team to develop range concepts
• Attend all fit meetings and other associated meetings which will impact upon the range development
• Assist with researching seasonal trends, fabrication & key ideas in line with Witchery's design aesthetic
• Assist in preparation of presentations, fit sessions for internal & external key stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain range boards
• Create & update technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator
• Assist with sourcing aligned with seasonal trends and direction in collaboration with Designer, Buyer and Product Developer
• Completion of monthly product care and details guide provided by Ecommerce team
• Assist with adhoc projects, sample management, research & team tasks when required
• Liaise with the suppliers to monitor the development process.

Key Capabilities

• A tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles is preferred
• Experience with illustration software packages
• Experience having worked in a similar design led role in a fashion business would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally across the business
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working well within a team.
