The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is seeking a dynamic **Operations Manager, Kidney Care Services**to lead one of the largest nephrology and dialysis services in Australia.
**About the Role**
As the **Operations Manager, Kidney Care Services**, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for RMH Kidney Care and the Department of Nephrology.**In partnership with the **Medical Director** Kidney Care Services, you will ensure high-quality, person-centred care through effective service governance. Your role will focus on enhancing clinical delivery, improving patient access, and optimizing the patient experience while achieving key performance, financial, and activity targets. We are seeking a dynamic leader with strong operational and leadership skills and a background in Nursing to drive service excellence, innovation, and quality healthcare delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide operational leadership to the Department of Nephrology and RMH Kidney Care, ensuring service delivery aligns with RMH's strategic objectives.
- Drive clinical governance and risk management strategies to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
- Oversee budget management, including operational, consumable, and special purpose fund.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for an interdisciplinary team.
- Lead performance monitoring against key quality indicators and service benchmarks.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including Department of Health, Safer Care Victoria, consumer groups, and regional hospital executives.
- Oversee the professional and operational responsibilities for nurses across multiple dialysis sites, including acute and satellite dialysis units in metropolitan and regional locations.
**About You**
We are seeking an experienced healthcare leader with the following experience and skills:
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Strong expertise in clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement.
- Proven ability to manage complex healthcare budgets and resources effectively.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting.
- A passion for driving innovation and service excellence in renal care.
