Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region.

D4C is a consortium of Service Stream John Holland, Comdain Infrastructure and WSP. Over a 10-year period, D4C will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people in the Southern Region of Sydney as well as create pathways to enter the water industry.

We have identified an exciting opportunity for a health and safety advisor to join our project supporting the D4C team and working closely with our Sydney Water team to help communicate our vision with our people.

This roles aim will be to support D4C activities with the goal of preventing harm, going beyond compliance, and improving health and wellbeing outcomes of all workers.

**Key roles**:

- Monitor compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team.
- Initiate health, safety and wellbeing programs for workers at D4C.
- Support workers and teams in the rehabilitation of workers who are injured.
- Support construction, maintenance and facilities management teams in striving for excellence by undertaking safety inspections and monitoring work areas.
- Participate in learning, coaching and mentoring activities that increase awareness of safety risks.
- Assist in the development of communications tools and records for all project safety meetings.
- Lead the use of safety systems, and support team members in their participation and use.
- Monitor and evaluate D4C safety programs effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable legislative requirements including government regulations, standards and policies.
- Support the communication of SQE requirements across D4C workplaces.
- Perform all duties in accordance with D4C and Sydney Water policies, processes, systems and procedures.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or equivalent
- Minimum Diploma in OHS/WHS qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years industry and/or role experience.5
- Project Management experience.
- Drivers License
