A contract opportunity for a Work Health and Safety Advisor in Brisbane's CBD earning an attractive salary.

**Your new company**
Client is public sector organisation based in the inner north of Brisbane’s CBD. The department acts as essentially an in-house consultancy to provide health and safety advice and support to the rest of the organisation with a particularly strong focus on the areas of highest risk. Which in this case are the construction and maintenance teams across civil, build and landscaping areas. The largest of which by volume are the civil (road) crews. The team is looking to engage the services of a suitable qualified Health and Safety Officer with experience of civil construction / maintenance.

**Your new role**
Role is part head office and part field based. In office will be working to provide specialised workplace advice to variety of business areas to ensure that risk is managed well and the organisations approach is consistent with legislation, sound principles and practices. The site based work is usually construction (especially civil) related and involves supporting the crews in either proactive or reactive works to help manage their OHS function. Or to provide inspection / audit work of specialist subcontractors working on site to ensure their paperwork and processes up to date.
