The Data Protection Solutions Cloud Specialist will be a customer facing champion for our Data Protection Cloud, Software, and as-a-Service Portfolio. They are responsible for identifying and driving opportunities at all stages. They will need to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Data Protection market and technology offerings. They will work closely with their regional account teams and Data Protection specialist teams to improve customer experience and increase the adoption of this portfolio.
Ultimately, the Data Protection Solutions Cloud Specialist will lead the transformation of our Data Protection Solutions business to subscription and as-a-Service consumption models. They will do this while leveraging technology alliance and cloud marketplace partnerships to create market appetite and innovative competitive takeout strategies to grow our software install base. Their success will be demonstrated in Dell Technologies’ Data Protection Software becoming the highest ranked vendor on the Gartner Magic Quadrant and achieving the #1 Share position with IDC for Data Protection Software and Integrated appliances.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Cloud Specialist’s will be capable of adding expertise at any phase of the sales cycle:
- Competitive positioning and intelligence, including install base and target accounts
- Building and presenting TCO analysis
- Negotiating pricing and licensing models
Cloud Specialist’s will:
- Track, analyze, and report Cloud, Software, and as-a-Service metrics to management
- Accelerate the adoption of Cloud, Software, and as-a-Service solutions
- Champion Data Protection Cloud, Software, and as-a-Service offerings with all Dell Technologies GTM stakeholders.
- Technology Alliance and Cloud Marketplace Partnerships
- Engage with technology alliance and cloud marketplace partners, including Druva, AWS, Microsoft & VMware
Essential Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience in a relationship selling role, ideally from a Cloud Service Provider
- Consistent track record of building and growing product and license revenues with specialist sales teams operating in a matrixed management, in global organizations. Experience in growing software and subscription license businesses is preferred
- C-Level Exposure and contact base with customers and partners in ANZ
- Experience of leading and shaping large commercial and contractual negotiations with a complex set of customers
