About The Role
As a Change Manager in Group Risk, you'll play a key role in driving the delivery of critical outcomes, with a particular emphasis on Non-Financial Risk (NFR) workstreams.
This role requires deep expertise in operational risk and risk management. Experience working on Enforceable Undertakings (EU) is highly desirable.
Banking is changing and we're changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you'll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
Role Type:
Secondment for 12 Months
Role Location:
L3C/833 Collins St Dockland VIC, 3008
Work Hours:
Full time, 40 hrs/week
What will your day look like?
As a Change Manager, you are accountable for:
- Designing and implementing change strategies to support NFR-related remediation initiatives under the APRA EU (Enforceable Undertaking) program.
- Leading change impact assessments and stakeholder analysis across business units and risk teams.
- Developing and delivering comprehensive change plans, including communications, training, engagement, and readiness activities.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Risk SMEs, and the business to ensure change is integrated into project delivery and aligned to the Risk Management Framework.
- Establishing sustainable change practices that support the embedding of operational and compliance risk improvements.
- Preparing high-quality communication materials and change artefacts for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Actively contributing to risk culture uplift by supporting behavioural change and leadership alignment.
- Monitoring change effectiveness through feedback loops, change readiness assessments, and sustainability reviews.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 8+ years' experience in change management, ideally in financial services, risk, or regulatory settings
- Proven track record leading change for operational risk, compliance, or non-financial risk programs
- Experience with APRA-led remediation or transformation initiatives (Enforceable Undertaking experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks and the Three Lines of Defence model
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including at executive level
- Ability to turn complex regulatory changes into clear, practical messaging and adoption strategies
- Familiarity with change management methodologies and how they fit into project delivery
- Outstanding communication skills—written, verbal, and visual—with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
You're not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we'd love to hear from you
