**Introduction**:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Mulpha Events own and deliver some of Australia’s most loved events. From Australia’s largest boating showcases - the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Sydney International Boat Show - to food and wine festivals, live music, outdoor and lifestyle events, product launches and corporate conferences.
This role is a key strategic leadership role within Mulpha Australia Limited, tasked with overseeing the planning, execution, and growth of the Mulpha’s Events portfolio while cultivating impactful commercial partnerships to drive revenue and profit growth. This individual will ensure that all events align with the objectives to deliver exceptional experiences for key stakeholders, while building and managing relationships with sponsors, collaborators, and industry partners.
THE ROLE
Key responsibilities will include
Develop and implement a strategic vision for Mulpha’s events portfolio, aligning with the company’s long-term business objectives and brand values.
Identify and pursue new event opportunities that align with Mulpha’s assets and business strategy, including emerging trends and market demands.
Regularly evaluate existing events to assess their performance, relevance, and ROI, making data-driven recommendations for improvement, expansion, or discontinuation.
Oversee the planning, production, and delivery of events across Mulpha’s property, hospitality, and lifestyle assets, including festivals, conferences, launches, and bespoke activations.
Identify, develop, and manage strategic commercial partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that align with Mulpha’s brand and events strategy.
Create compelling partnership proposals and lead negotiations to secure sponsorships and collaborations that enhance event outcomes and drive revenue.
Develop and manage event and partnership budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achieving financial targets.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing events and partnerships team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in event management, business development, or commercial partnerships, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, high-profile events.
Demonstrated ability to secure and manage high-value partnerships and sponsorships.
Strong understanding of the property, hospitality, and lifestyle industries, with experience leveraging assets to create unique event experiences.
Exceptional project management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering strong ROI.
