We are seeking a motivated and diligent Casual/Part-Time Caretaker/Handyman who is committed to superior results for the unit owners, body corporate and our guests.

**Kirra Surf Apartments **is a mixed letting complex with a large proportion of Owner Occupiers, Holiday Let Units, as well as a small proportion of permanent tenancies. The complex is in an excellent position, only steps from Kirra Beach and a stones throw from Coolangatta Airport.

**The Role**:
A strong understanding of Body Corporate Management and an understanding of the management rights industry is desirable.

The Caretaking assistant is expected to;
- Carry out operational Caretaking duties of a premium, large resort style complex;
- Assist with looking after Resort facilities, including pool, gym, sauna & BBQ Areas
- Maintain gardens and grounds
- Check/maintain guest rooms & beach front windows/balconies prior arrival
- Sweeping/Blowing/Hosing Pathways & maintenance of carpark areas
- Assist with regular refuse management including management of chutes and council waste collection from designated areas
- Undertake basic property maintenance; An ability for repairs is desirable.
- Assist with the coordination of tradespeople for general repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure the building is maintained in pristine condition by providing regular floor checks of the complex and rectifying any issues with cleaning and maintenance.
- Whilst not essential, the ability to cover Reception Duties one day per week would be desirable.

**Experience Required**:
Substantial experience in a similar role of onsite holiday property management and caretaking is desirable.
- Proven experience in Building and Property Management.
- Superior communication and negotiation skills
- A demonstrated record of honesty, integrity, and diligence.
- Previous experience in Facilities Management and Trade qualifications that can be utilised within the complex are not necessary but will be highly regarded. (e.g., Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Painting, Plastering etc.
- Be reliable, motivated, and hardworking.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent Problem-Solving Skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively
- Committed mature attitude, happy to complete all tasks as required.

Whilst student Visa restrictions may be accommodated (Eg: Maximum 48 hours per fortnight) only those with the right to work in Australia should apply.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $28.08 - $29.30 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
