We are seeking a casual Common Area and Pool Caretaker to join our team one day a week, on Thursday.

Previous experience in a similar handyperson or pool maintenance/grounds keeping role, in a commercial or resort setting preferred but not necessary as training will be provided.

What we're looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation of the building's public areas, amenities, and grounds.
  • Able to follow direction, work without supervision and demonstrate initiative to complete job tasks within given time frames.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to interact positively with guests and residents
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate common power tools and equipment

What you'll be doing

  • Ensuring the resort's outdoor and BBQ areas, including pathways and common spaces, are well-kept and presentable
  • Co-ordination of rubbish skips and bins
  • Cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool, including water testing.
  • Performing minor maintenance and repairs as required
  • Some Gardening skills required for the general presentation common area gardens
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • Must have own transport and reliability is essential.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.25 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 15 per week
