**Looking for fun and rewarding work in the school holidays?**

Code Camp is currently hiring Head Teachers and Teaching Assistants to join our team in helping deliver our high-quality Creative Tech programs.

This role is perfect for university students studying computer science, education, design or similar. But anyone with an interest in coding and/or education is welcome to apply.

Who are we? Code Camp is Australia’s leading specialist school holiday provider We’ve taught over 90,000 kids to code in the past 6 years, and employ 1000 casual staff to help us. Our staff work hard and love the collaborative effort of creating unique and engaging learning experiences for kids. We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to teach at our holiday camps.

**Is this you?**
- Studying or have studied Education, Design, Computer Science or a similar related field
- A lifelong learner with a willingness to learn and teach creative technology skills and content (ranging from Coding video games to Stop Motion Animation and more)
- Great at communicating with kids
- Passionate about mentoring kids, building their knowledge and confidence
- Trustworthy, punctual and reliable
- Available for work during the school holidays, a minimum of 3 consecutive days (our camps run for 2-3 days at each venue)

**Required Skills**:

- Tech savvy/ICT skills
- For Head Teachers
- confident to lead a class through content (with support of 1 or 2 Teaching Assistants in larger classes)
- For Teaching Assistants
- ability to familiarise themselves with lesson content and assist children with individual issues throughout class, including utlilising problem solving skills and communicating with our IT support team where needed
- Enjoy working with kids and have a vibrant and enthusiastic can do attitude
- Mature outlook and common sense
- Work well in a team environment
- Be able to take initiative
- Fluent conversational English
- Ability to facilitate activities to meet the needs and interests of children aged 5 to 13 - prior experience with children in paid or volunteer roles is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate for positive outcomes with children and other educators
- Ability to encourage positive behaviour in children
- Capacity to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside and outside the classroom
