WesTrac is seeking a **Parts Inventory Manager** to join our team at our Tomago head office. This newly created position will see the successful applicant assume responsibility for the execution of WesTrac’s parts inventory strategy. Reporting to the Supply Chain and Commercial Manager and leading a small team, you will use your extensive supply chain and inventory management knowledge to deliver upon strategic objectives.
This is a full time permanent opportunity with flexible work arrangements available.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Use forecasting techniques as well as historical data to determine optimal inventory hold levels
- Develop and execute an effective parts inventory holding plan that optimises working capital and positions WesTrac to deliver on customer expectations.
- Lead and mentor a team of approximately 4 direct reports in alignment with WesTrac’s SPARC values
- Undertake analysis to measure the utilisation of inventory to inform future decision making
- Collaborate cross functionally to gain insight into future inventory needs and support operations across NSW/ACT
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in inventory management
- Report and advise on opportunities to reduce working capital through improving inventory management.
**About You**
- Proven leadership capability
- Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain and inventory management plan execution in a large business
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, supply chain or similar
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to effectively consult and negotiate with stakeholders, build positive relationships, and to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
- Sound ability to conduct data analysis and compile reports
- Ability to coach others for high performance and manage teams in changing environments
- Advanced Excel skills
- SAP experience desirable but not essential
