This is a high impact & strategic role that will be highly visible and drive growth delivering significant ongoing revenue to Ciena.

How You Will Contribute:
Reporting to VP Sales Asia Pacific, you will play a key leadership and collaboration role driving all aspects of customer engagements teams from sales through to customer support, selling directly or via partners into the region. This includes ownership of the regional go-to-market strategies, objectives, business plans, sales execution, customer experience and overall financials for these markets.- You will develop, and communicate a regional plan that outlines operating objectives, and cadence for the market. The plan will provide long, and short-term goals, the objectives, strategies, and implementation actions to achieve intended outcomes. You will need to work closely with other regional and global Ciena stakeholders, and business units to ensure alignment with the plan.- You ensure account plans are developed and maintained, have full alignment with key collaborators, sponsors, and functions supporting the business. These plans will include market assessments, alignment to customer objectives, analysis of the competitive landscape, GTM strategies, portfolio requirements/positioning, resource prioritization, and business forecasts for pre and post sales results.- You will take full responsibility for budget planning, forecasting, and execution against plan. Meet, and exceed financial growth targets in these markets - orders, revenue, standard margin and OPEX (regional P&L responsibility).- Provide leadership to all resources across customer engagement aligning business goals / objectives and strategy to deliver successful outcomes.- Proactively collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure customer market requirements are understood, and positioned to enable you to influence, and drive alignment in various global initiatives - plan of record, marketing events, executive engagement, and visits- As part of the AP (Asia Pacific) Leadership Team, contribute to the development, and execution of the region’s business strategy, objectives, plans and operational framework.- Drive sales tool adoption (e.g. CRM, CPQ, etc), and use these tools to drive, and track the business.- Oversee the “customer lifecycle” to ensure outstanding customer experience.- Evangelise the value proposition with customers and partners.- Collaborate with Marketing to drive the creation, and utilisation of sales collateral, demand generation programs, and other campaigns that drive new opportunities with new name accounts, and incremental revenues in existing accounts.- Establish a weekly, and quarterly reporting cadence to ensure visibility of plans, progress, outcomes, and targeted actions for alignment
