We have been requested to assist in the sourcing of an experienced Senior Project Officer for a client of ours - who is looking for someone to join them on an initial 12mth fixed term basis ($147k Package) (will be extended).
The Senior Project Officer will work closely with the Program Manager and will help drive and support multiple areas at a Portfolio, Program and Project level, including management, financials, scheduling, documentation and analysis, governance, stakeholder management and team coordination.
Within 12mths - you could become a Junior PM on this project.
**If you have previous experience of working on an ERP project - all the better**
- Excellent written and oral communication and documentation skills (including the ability to prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings and presentations to a variety of audiences)
- Expert-level skills in the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and Project Management Tools (including Clarity, Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Project). Strong financial reporting capabilities and skills.
- Excellent project leadership and coordination skills, including demonstrated knowledge of project management standards and methodologies (e.g. PRINCE 2 and PMBOK), as well as ability to prioritise and drive multiple priorities against tight timeframes within complex, high-pressure and ambiguous environment.
**5yrs + of experience working in a similar role**
- **Program and Project Management**, including creation of plans and schedules, tracking and reporting progress and performance, leading Waterfall and Agile delivery ceremonies, proactively streamlining and automating manual processes, and providing expert support and guidance
- **Financials,** including forecast creation, budget management, invoice and purchase order management, report generation, and liaison with UPMO and other governance teams as required
- **Documentation and analysis**, including independently identifying, assessing, managing and mitigating / resolving Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID), and developing key artefacts (e.g. Initiation Briefs, Option Papers, Post Implementation Reviews / Retrospectives)
- **Governance,** including proactively managing RAID and deliverable registers, creating quality control and audit reports, creating and coordinating input for Program and Project Steering Committee packs, comprehensive and detailed documentation of meeting minutes, and reporting
- **Stakeholder engagement** **and managemen**t, including building and managing strong stakeholder relationships, facilitating discussion between stakeholders to enable effective and collaborative integration, and supporting delivery of program and project change and communication plans
- **Team coordination and scheduling**, including coordinating meetings for vendor engagements (including upcoming Software and Systems Integrator selection processes), creating and maintaining collaboration sites and document repositories, organising team events and activities.
