This Government Department are responsible for providing disability-based services to the community and are looking for multiple Payment Officers for their CBD Office.
**Your new role**

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests that have been rejected through the my place provider and participant portals.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment enquiries.
- Processing manual payments to providers and self-managed participants.
- Working to resolve payment issues, guided by legislation, policies and standards, and Payments Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to decision-making within the team/work area.
- Consistently meeting team and individual work resolution targets.
- Ensuring knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks.
- Maintaining an awareness of government decision-making processes, Agency guidelines and regulations.
**What you'll need to succeed***
- Attention to detail
- Resilience and adaptability
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team-based role
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred experience working in customer service and/or Payments Support
- An empathetic nature and ability to work with vulnerable people
To be successful in this role you must have a recent National Police Clearance, a valid Working with Children’s Check and must be an Australian Citizen.
