About the role:

As an Insurance and Payments Officer, you'll be a steady and trusted guide for members navigating significant life events. You will be processing the payments associated with approved Claims and underwriting applications and, you'll ensure every detail is handled with care and precision.

In this role, you'll take on tasks such as:

  • Managing insurance underwriting applications
  • Processing Death, Total and Permanent Disablement, Terminal Illness &   Income Protection payments
  • Communicating sensitive decisions with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Investigating and resolving complex insurance issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement and compliance initiatives

  • Calculates complex benefit payments and taxation accurately
  • Is proficient in spreadsheets and database applications
  • Understands insurance claims, underwriting, and superannuation administration

Remuneration

ASO3 - $67,589 min $72,033 max per annum + 12% Super
