**The Purpose**:
As the Workplace Technology Lead here at AP+, you will lead the Workplace Technology function within the Technical Operations, Infrastructure organisation reporting to the General Manager.
Your role will help to shape and transform our approach to workplace technology with an emphasis on cloud technology, standardisation, simplification and security, utilising current industry best practice and tools to streamline our end-user experience.
To be successful in this role, you are a confident people leader with experience in leading and managing teams of technical professionals with demonstrable knowledge of multi-environment engineering techniques and practices. You are someone who builds and cultivates expertise and leadership talent, evangelises and promotes new ideas and builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be leading governance and performance reviews with a number of external service providers.
**You will be responsible for**:
**Leadership**: Driving excellence in all technology practices including technology strategy, budget management, device provisioning, security, request management and self-service mechanisms, and meeting-room technologies.
**Strategy**:Developing and delivering the Workplace Technology strategy, roadmap, execution, and governance cadence across AP+, with an initial focus on developing and expanding the scope of the team to deliver a cross-organisation service-focussed support model and delivering on the Cloud Strategy, Security initiatives such as DLP, Business services SaaS assurance and Simplification.
**Collaboration and Partnership**:Build and deepen trusted relationships with the business as well as third-party partnerships.
**In order for you to be successful in the role, you'll have**:
- BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science
- 5 years+ working in people leadership roles
- 5 years+ proven work experience within IT Infrastructure engineering roles
- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies and cloud computing, vendor managed services and traditional on-premises services.
- Robust knowledge of AWS AAD / Entra services provision and strategy
- Experience with M365 and other workplace collaboration tools including teams and teams meeting rooms.
- A curious mindset when it comes to problem-solving.
- Thoughtful approach when it comes to decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for Technical Operations principles.
