Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal role by processing the weekly payroll ensuring it runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy. We are looking for someone who can participate in building a strong payroll function and be actively involved in process improvement. Key responsibilities of the role include;
- Input weekly payroll data including finalisation of weekly and month end reports and EOY procedures
- Calculate commission payments, monthly statutory payments, and produce / input weekly payroll journals
- Ability to interpret awards and agreements to facilitate accurate payroll delivery
- Reviewing accuracy of apprentice invoices, code and enter the invoices that are issued from the apprentice providers each week into ERP for payment
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the payroll function
- Assist Group Financial Controller as required

**You**

The successful applicant will have a strong customer service background, will be driven, flexible and passionate. You will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Experience as a Payroll Officer in a high-volume environment with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Team and customer service focused with a keen eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including both verbal and written)
- Well-developed computer skills including experience with related Payroll software and systems (preferably Preceda), and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- The ability to take initiative and eagerness to learn
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and prioritise
- Great organisational skills and meticulous especially with numbers
