**About the role**:
With a significant pipeline of opportunities identified across the Transport and Technology sectors, UGL are seeking to appoint an experienced Safety Coordinator working in the major projects space based in Melbourne:
- Administrate H&S coordination for HSE team
- Review & collate specific registers including Job Hazard Analyses/Safe Work Method Statements and represent the company on project specific WHS matters and raise any non-compliance issues via the Construction Management team.
- Review authorisations to ensure that all UGL and sub-contractor personnel are appropriately accredited for safety requirements.
- Collate & review the safety assessment of plant and equipment as required.
- Participate in risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses/Safe Work Method Statements, Toolbox Talks and other briefings.
- Strong background in safety administration
- Production of safety reporting, data analysis and management of HSE KPI requirements
**About you**

- Tertiary Qualification (Diploma) in a Workplace Safety and Health related discipline - desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Safety, Health, and environmental role in a Construction / Infrastructure industry within a fast-paced environment - Road/Rail/Defence preferred
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Knowledge of the WH&S, Environment and Workers Compensation legislations
- Demonstrated capability to develop and implement safety management systems
- Knowledge of AS 4801, ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000 - desirable
- Excellent consultative skills and responsible I/R techniques
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
