**Overview**:
The Manager - Teaching and Learning manages the key aspects of HIA Learning’s student experience and training delivery.

The role is responsible for the management of our students and the RTO’s training delivery. It is tasked with developing and achieving annual budget targets for HIA Learning’s continuing students. This happens through achieving agreed student progression/completion rates. The Manager Teaching and Learning must adopt a continuous improvement approach towards high-quality learning experiences for trainers and students.
- Manage and mentor HIA Learning’s Student Management Team and additionally manage and support all HIA Trainers to achieve the agreed annual targeted budget and student outcomes.
- Adopt and support a continuous improvement approach towards the quality of HIA training delivery.
- Be responsible for Financial/Analytical reporting and Budgeting/Forecasting on the progression of students.

The successful person will possess and demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

- Experience in leading and managing training and training support teams, including effective leadership of remote teams.
- Understanding of ASQA standards and RTO compliance highly desirable
- Understanding of the framework of state-based training contracts
- Ability to foster and develop work relationships.
- High level of stakeholder management, people engagement and effective communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Experience in the use of student management systems e.g. VETtrak.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
