**How will I help?**
As the Monitoring and Testing Officer you will execute the Monitoring & Testing (M&T) activities across the Westpac group efficiently and effectively.
You will be responsible for planning and executing reviews aligned to risks in focus, including:
- walkthroughs and documentation of control processes with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.
- development of test scripts with utilisation of the most appropriate testing techniques
- executing test steps with high level of efficiency and accuracy.
- concluding test results and drafting issue and reports to a professional standard for all stakeholders.
You will be a Risk and Control Framework Subject Matter Expert to the wider Non-Financial Risk function as and when the need arises.
You will engage stakeholders in a professional and timely manner to facilitate smooth delivery of M&T activities, and also effectively communicate and advise senior management with impactful and insightful independent opinions on regulatory risks and issues.

**What do I need?**
To be successful in this role you will ideally have a minimum of three years’ experince in a large finance, insurance or consulting company with an internal audit function or first line risk and control team.
You will have a broad understanding of regulatory requirements and financial services, in particular the products and services of Westpac.
You will also have the ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
A high level of proficiency and consistent achievement of impactful and influential verbal and written communication is essential to the success of this role, as is the ability to manage stakeholders of various levels.
You will have a strong sense of accountability, good time management and project management skills.
