**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a **Test Lead** to be part of our Testing, Technology & Communication Services Command. The testing Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of testing personnel that provide professional testing services to improve systems availability, reliability and accuracy of projects and solutions meeting business needs. The position ensures project deliverables are delivered to the agreed standard and are fit for purpose prior to production release.

To be Successful for the Role you will need:

- Lead the test team by providing operational direction, support, and guidance to assigned colleagues
- Mentor and coach test analysts across IT areas on standard testing processes
- Significant experience in leading the functional & technical testing activities throughout the testing life cycle of strategic projects in large organisations
- Monitoring and reviewing of test deliverable that include the Test Plan, Test Strategy, Manual Test Cases, Automation Test Scripts, Test Summary, Test Estimates, Key Testing Metrics and Test Reports
- Mentor and coach testers across IT areas on automation standard processes and support with automation backlog efforts.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability to manage and lead efficient defect management, raise defects during test execution and follow them through to closure
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with cross functional resources throughout the organisation
- Experience working as part of a dynamic project team and ability to adapt to change

Non-Functional Testing:

- Define and oversee non-functional testing requirements such as performance, scalability, reliability, security, and load testing.
- Work with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure proper setup of test environments for performance and load testing.
- Collaborate with Platform and infrastructure teams for performance monitoring during non-functional testing.

Automation Testing:

- Define automation testing strategies and frameworks.
- Lead the development of automated test scripts to cover regression, functional, and non-functional testing scenarios.
- Select appropriate automation tools and technologies.
