About you

As a Test Engineer at Protecht, you will test new and existing functionality for our SaaS solution, the Enterprise Risk Management (Protecht.ERM) system. You will be responsible for evaluating software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended. You will also be responsible for completing all testing procedures, suggesting performance changes, and preparing performance reports for the Development Managers.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of software design and engineering, a good eye for detail, and a natural gift for troubleshooting. A skilled software Test Engineer should be able to identify even the smallest flaw in software designs and suggest simple yet effective fixes.

Typically, you will:

  • Design and implement scalable test procedures for manual, automation, API and performance testings.
  • Work in API testing, UI automation (Robot Framework), and performance/load testing.
  • Design manual and automated test procedures to evaluate the application and API services.
  • Build, code, and implement software automation test programs.
  • Run automation test programs to measure the quality of the software.
  • Present test reports to management and suggest software fixes.
  • Solve complex QA challenges.

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' of experience as a software test engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of program testing software.
  • Ability to develop clear and concise test plans and collating data to compile test reports.
  • Ability to design and write complex software testing procedures.

Essential skills

  • Experience with automated testing of UI interface with Robot automation framework or similar testing tools.
  • Experience with testing of API services using automated tools such as Jmeter and ReadyAPI.
  • Experience testing user identity management solutions such as Single Sign-On and user provisioning.
  • Familiar with server monitoring systems such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
