An outstanding opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated individual who will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the manager and administrative staff within the Patient Services Department.
The Deputy Manager Patient Services is responsible for supporting the daily operational management of the Patient Services Team including inpatient and outpatient services. They will share with the Manager Patient Services the responsibility for sound rostering of staff and the understanding and oversight of the billing and receivables processes at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The role has a focus on data quality working with the various IT systems and administrative processes which involves training and education as required.
ABOUT THE ROLE

- Permanent Full Time including an ADO
- HS4 Classification
- Reporting to the Patient Services Manager the successful applicant will assist in the implementation and maintenance of administrative processes which are consistent with our strategic and operational plan. You will have a solid understanding of quality improvement principles which will assist you with the delivery of sound change management strategies
ABOUT YOU
- Staff resource management (rostering) experience (essential)
- Demonstrated supervisory skills (essential)
- Experience with patient management IT systems
- The ability to motivate, mentor and develop administrative team members
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office including word and excel at an intermediate level (essential)
- Personal attributes will include the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, dedication, commitment, approachable and flexible manner.
- Diploma Leadership and Management (willingness to compete)
- Flexibility to work various hours when required
