**Position Information**:
Daceyville Public School is future-focused school with well-established programs to support learning, engagement and wellbeing. The school has an enrolment of 185. Rigorous programs including synthetic phonics, interactive writing and structured mathematics approaches form part of a future focused suite of learning experiences for our learners. Our students consistently perform above similar schools and state norms for achieving at or above expected growth in NAPLAN. We have extensive grounds and embed sustainability programs through outdoor learning, gardening and Project-Based Learning across the school. The staff team are passionate educators who are all about collaboration and work closely to program, provide feedback, develop assessments and support students. We have a supportive and highly engaged parent community who work with the school staff to provide additional programs and support events that are of educational value, such as our much esteemed Big Band Bash event and the highly valued Project Based Learning program and Exhibition of Learning festival.

Evidence of highly visible, consultative and collaborative leadership with the capacity to inspire and lead a future focused school learning community in the development and implementation of rich whole school programs.

Demonstrated ability to enhance staff capacity through instructional leadership and mentoring, which supports high quality differentiated learning across the curriculum, with a commitment to the implementation of contemporary pedagogies.

Proven capacity to analyse and interpret a range of evidence sources and data to implement, lead and evaluate whole school programs and strategic initiatives to support and lead future school directions.

Demonstrated capacity to manage and enhance relationships with staff, students, families and the broader community in order to maintain a respectful, positive learning environment.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
