**The Role**
The Zone Operations and Coordination (ZOC) Manager oversees the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of complex activities within the South East Zone (SEZ) of the Service Delivery Division (SDD). As a key member of the Zone Operations and Coordination leadership team, you will contribute to the success of the branch by fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
**What will you do?**
You will lead a small team of ZOC Officers to provide administrative support, policy guidance and centralised business coordination to various teams across the South East Zone. You will manage workflows, assign resources, and monitor performance. At the same time, you will work on projects that progress Security and Estate Group’s strategic goals. You will be in a strong position to provide significant contributions to all South East Zone stakeholders. As such, we are looking for someone with decision-making skills who demonstrates strategic leadership, initiative, and sound judgement.

**About our Team**
The South East Zone (SEZ) comprises Defence bases in Tasmania, Victoria and the New South Wales Riverina. SEZ also is the home of the Customer Service Network, which includes a national call centre, a Customer Service Centre footprint across Australia, digital service delivery and travel and print services.
The ZOC teams are responsible for the below functions:
- Analytics and Innovation: Innovates and streamlines operations, promoting adaptability and efficiency.
- Learning and Development: Implements training initiatives and facilitates workforce skill development for Service Delivery Division, fostering continuous growth and empowerment.
- Requests for Contribution: Manages queries and task coordination across SEZ business areas, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration.
- Workforce: Drives headcount management, recruitment, and movement of employees, aligning with SEZ workforce targets.
- Work, Health, and Safety (WHS): Manages WHS tasks across multiple Defence bases, implementing safety protocols and addressing occupational challenges.
