**About the role**:
Reporting to the EGM Commercial Transformation & Store Development, you will hold responsibility for leading the translation of the Coles Group strategy into a Commercial strategy that delivers our Supermarket ambitions. This will be achieved through COEs including Cost of Goods Management and Strategic Sourcing, Pricing & Value, and Commercial Trade Activation.

**What you’ll be doing**:
In this role you will have responsibility for translating the Coles Group strategy into a clear and concise Commercial Strategy that enables the Business Units to deliver what is required to enable the corporate plan.

Working across multiple internal Business Units you will lead a high performing team to provide thought leadership and process expertise to support in the formulation and delivery of respective strategic plans in relation to all elements of driving strong customer and commercial outcomes.

While working cross functionally, and with key internal and external stakeholders, you and your team will drive the development of a competitive, worlds best practice, end to end customer value proposition for the business.

**Good things you’ll need**:

- Significant experience in a Retail environment, with a blended experience of responsibility for delivery of revenue/profit targets, strategy creation and implementation along with leadership of support teams
- Proven experience in Category Management and a demonstrated knowledge of supplier processes and relationships coupled with a deep understanding of consumer trends within retail
- Previous experience with responsibility for a large-scale P&L centre within a retail environment
- Proven leadership of large and diverse teams including coaching and professional development experience
- Experience of using technology to improve, and where necessary, automate the decision-making process of our teams
- Highly strategic and analytically capable in translating data to insights to inspire action
- Proven experience working collaboratively across the business to align on business goals and deliver successful strategic programs
