A bit about your role
In your new role as the Commercial Specialist, you will take a key leadership role together with the Senior Commercial Manager to lift the commercial capability of Field Services. The role will be integral for development and subsequent maturation of the commercial delivery framework for Field Services. This will ensure commercial; risk mitigation and customer outcomes are tracked through balanced benefit realisation scorecards for Field transform & improve activity. This will also inform the strategy ensuring oversight and control of Field Services and other Truck Roll associated budgets.
You will be also working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager to provide commercial insight and analysis to inform and guide improvement for Field Services operation. It will include using strong finance, commercial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills. This coupled with the ability to understand and report on key business drivers to identify trends and opportunities to assist in the delivery of operational, customer experience and financial targets for the Field Services business.
The nature of the work requires providing commercial operational insights across Field Services and development of business cases to support initiatives for Field Services working in partnership with Strategic Project Delivery team to ensure investment is being made in areas delivering the most value, enabling effective prioritization.
In partnership with Commercial Finance, this role will oversee the monthly reporting against finance targets including refresh of budgets as part of the budget refresh (reforecast) process.
Finally, you will also be responsible for supporting the 5-year strategic plan (IOP) for headcount, opex and capex.
A bit about you
To be successful in this role, you will understand Managing and supporting the commercial and financial requirements of Field Services to guide performance. Also, Managing the tracking of all program expenditure and benefit through balanced scorecards. As the Commercial Specialist you will support stakeholders in clarity of key business drivers, sensitivities, trend analysis and benefits realisation and lead the preparation and consolidation of the commercial pack partnering with Commercial Finance team.
This role will also require a Development of business case analytical models and identifying key business driver and sensitivities to support initiatives and program of work and Quarterly investco submission and business case development to support the capex funding requirements.
Moreover, you will be supporting the 5-year strategic plan (IOP) for headcount, opex and capex working with internal and external stakeholders and Quarterly investco submission and business case development to support the capex funding requirements.
