Production Line Leader

**About the Role**
As a Production Line Leader - Electronics, you will be an important part of our Production Team. You will be responsible for providing support to the electronics assembly team, ensuring in-process and final production quality control checks. You will also coordinate with Production Planner, Quality and Warehouse on work orders and issues, as well as making recommendations of process improvements.
In addition, you will also be conducting necessary process in the assembling and testing of our very own rugged Panel PCs and LCD monitors for delivery to customers. Some of the tasks required are fitting screws using electronic screw drivers, fitting labels, fitting PCB boards (including identifying the correct boards to fit), fitting gaskets and connectors, and putting together all mechanical parts. This requires knowledge and understanding electronics assembly drawings for correct fitting and making sure the right parts are used. You may be required to complete other production tasks where necessary.
Our Production Team is a diverse team of 19 (20 when you get here) hardworking individuals who take a work-hard, snack-hard approach to their tasks. Always giving 100%, they are the driving force behind Motium’s production of excellence.
Reporting to **Scott**, our experienced Operations Manager, you will be in a full-time role with flexible working hours based at our office in Bentley. Due to the nature of the role, you will be 100% based at our facility in Bentley.
The experience you bring to the role will be invaluable, but we don’t expect you to know everything We will provide in-house and external training opportunities where required to ensure you are equipped to succeed with us.
Your day-to-day will revolve around the following:
- Regularly checking of assigned teams’ work areas to ensure no health and safety hazards are present. Raise any concerns with the Production Manager
- Conducting training with new and current staff related on assembly process and testing
- Assisting Production Manager in facilitating Expectation Reviews (ERs) for the team you are responsible for
- Providing feedback to our Engineering Team in the building of new Panel PC prototypes for customers
- Making recommendations on process improvements
- Studying and analysing assembly flows, test procedures and work instructions to recommend and implement improvements with the Production Manager or Manufacturing Engineer
- Checking and validating work instructions as released. Maintaining all issued documents to Production (such as electronics drawings, work instructions, engineering instructions) ensuring up to date versions are in use by the Production team
- Assembling Panel PCs, LCD monitors and other Motium products
- Conducting in-process and final product quality control checks
- Conducting testing using the Products Test Jigs to ensure products meet the required specifications. Supports the troubleshooting or repair of failed products or parts as required
**About You**
Here are some of the things we think will make you likely to succeed in this role:
- Relevant experience assembling electronic products in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing people in a supervisory role
- Proven experience working for a medium to high volume manufacturer in an Assembler, Quality Assurance, or Engineering Technician capacity (desirable)
- Completed a technical qualification (Electronics, Electrical or similar) (desirable)
- Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to producing the very best quality output
- Ability to follow formal procedures and work instructions
- Demonstrated commitment and a positive attitude toward quality
- Brilliant problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions
- Being a self-motivated individual who can achieve and succeed under mínimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Team Player - with an ability to interact at all levels
