Physical Injury Specialist, Personal Injury - Workers Compensation | Sydney or Charlestown, NSW

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Personal Injury team in a newly created role as a Physical Injury Specialist. You will provide injury management expertise and support on medical treatment, return to work options and strategic direction on claims, with a key focus on physical injuries, to foster consistent delivery of positive customer experience and health, social and commercial outcomes for our NSW Government Services business.
**You’ll be responsible for**:
- Effectively work with claims staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure injuries are managed through the integration of a biopsychosocial approach.
- Embed the Injury Management Program's strategic and innovative interventions and processes through coaching and upskilling the claims teams to deliver its values, beliefs and principles that support a whole of person approach.
- Build and develop consistent positive interactions and engagement with icare, employers and third-party providers, identifying opportunities to improve injury management interventions, practices and processes, and monitoring ongoing provider performance and service delivery for optimal outcomes for Allianz.
- Manage, develop and maintain effective working relationships with claims teams to embed the Government Services values, beliefs and principles within their service delivery and support consistent delivery of customer experience and sustainable outcomes, whilst pro-actively seeking opportunities to improve customer satisfaction score (CSAT).
- Collaborate with Team Managers and Service Managers to identify business improvement needs and implement practices that drive the business' vision and strategic direction.
- Support the business to achieve quality and outcome measure targets through strategic injury management interventions.
**Important to your success**:
- Tertiary qualification and experience in an allied health field, such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology or Psychology.
- Several years experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, claims management and/or return to work.
- Understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries and service providers.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
- Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools
- Ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected or unexpected situations
