**Salary**: $73,150 plus super minimum and above / year
Location: Office location will be determined dependent on the right applicant, as we have offices based in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth. We are on the hunt for a Media & Community Specialist to work within one of our agencies.
This is a fantastic, varied role that would be rewarding for the right person who brings a varied skill set.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Plan effective media schedules in a timely and accurate fashion taking into account relevant languages and their media consumption habits, across multiple platforms and channels.
- Load approved media plans using Etcom’s media booking systems (SMD) and book media according to Etcom processes.
- Provide accurate and updated information when requested which includes media overview, material specs, material deadlines and other relevant information.
- Provide post campaign reports and report on key learnings.
- Develop effective working relationships with media suppliers to drive value add and greater expertise in the field for clients.
- Maintain Etcom’s media database, keeping key information updated including: media that are no longer operating, new media options, circulation figures, current rates, advertising options available.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure all invoices are processed and bookings are correctly billed.
- Maintain up to date current job folders for all jobs including client approved changes to campaigns and costings.
- Keep abreast of relevant ethnic and census information, media circulations, media consumption trends and other relevant data to provide informed media recommendations.
- Campaign material trafficking and dispatch, including social media campaign set up (and monitoring when required).

**You'll need to be someone who**:
- Has excellent attention to detail, with a good eye for figures and data.
- Is commercially-minded.
- Has negotiating skills.
- Is proactive and positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Is a team player.
- Has extensive knowledge of Excel and some knowledge of SMD is preferable.
- Has the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and diverse backgrounds.
- Has the ability to manage many tasks and effectively juggle many competition priorities.
- Understands popular social networks - design, functionality, users.
- Has a demonstrated understanding of community management guidelines and the role of social media and its effects.
**Skills and experience**:
- A tertiary qualification in marketing or commerce-related field an advantage
- Exposure to media and knowledge of media planning/buying process
- Exposure to buying media space and negotiating rates
