The opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to promote and facilitate a knowledge driven culture at the SRO, with a focus on the SRO's internal knowledge platform (TaxNet) where corporate tax and entitlement knowledge is captured and available for staff.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, Knowledge Management, you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the strategic direction of knowledge management at the SRO and identifying and implementing contemporary ‘best practice' knowledge management strategies and processes.
- Coordinating and implementing knowledge management activities between Branches.
- Managing TaxNet, including identifying and initiating enhancements and developments to address business needs, providing advice on solutions and implementing required changes, working with Branches to ensure their contributions to TaxNet are in line with knowledge management and digital writing best practices, and supporting Senior Specialist Panels and other emerging tax technical knowledge initiatives to ensure information and decisions are appropriately recorded and communicated.
- Assisting with the delivery of Branch goals by contributing to the Branch's strategic business planning, initiatives, and improvement opportunities to deliver quality knowledge management services for SRO.
- Mentoring and developing team members and assisting with preparing or reviewing tax technical material for the SRO website or TaxNet.

- Demonstrated understanding of or experience with managing and/or updating a knowledge platform.
- High level research, innovation, analytical and conceptual skills to identify and initiate improvements to knowledge management content, systems, and procedures.
- High level interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and team members.
- High level problem-solving skills to identify and respond to strategic knowledge management issues.
