**We are looking for a Casual Quality Assurance Coordinator to assist our production team out of Sydney Markets to maintain safety and quality regulations to our wholesome fresh food option and ready to eat menu.**

**Responsibilities**
- Day to day accountability to ensure compliance for all food safety and quality regulations, policies, standards and practices.
- Maintain production and quality assurance records and documentation.
- Produce product specifications for QE branded products
- Generate compliant product labels for QE branded products
- Support production and management team in production and new business development
- Train staff to complete food safety records
- Ensure incoming raw material and packaging is safe and suitable including checking temperature, weight and visual checks.
- Monitor and verify daily production to ensure requirements are met like finished products, trucks checks, maintenance, pest control, cleaning, calibration etc.
- Ensure HACCP and the food safety critical control points are being correctly recorded and monitored during production.
- Assists with the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices and Hygiene standards within the processing area.
- Conduct checks, inspections, audits and process controls including labelling, swabbing and batch testing
- Verify pre-operational checks and other completed records
- Maintain and file all food safety and compliance documents

**Requirements/qualifications**
- A qualification in Food Science or related discipline
- Knowledge of business operations, including Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP
- Minimum 1years of experience in Food Safety and Compliance role in a fast paced production facility
- Knowledge of food product labelling requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including word and Excel
- Formal training in HACCP or food safety production and compliance is a advantage

**Work expectations**
- Ability to work casual 3 days/week starting from 6am at our Sydney Markets facility
