As an Assurance Manager, you will be developing frameworks for monitoring processes, systems, and outputs to ensure quality, compliance, and risk standards are met and continuously improved.
This is a 12-month opportunity.
What will you be doing?
- Assessing and reviewing the assurance and validation of services and deliverables to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, program expectations, industry standards, and transition deliverables.
- Identifying and addressing training needs, taking corrective action to uphold compliance with company and legislative standards (e.g. APRA, OH&S), while promoting awareness of policies, procedures, and standards across the business.
- Monitoring and ensuring all APRA and other standards requirements are met by reporting, escalating, and driving remedial actions for any material control weaknesses, incidents, or breaches under the Risk & Compliance Management frameworks.
- Developing and overseeing quality assurance controls, performance monitoring programs, reporting, and testing the effectiveness of contracts, SLAs, and key controls, in collaboration with RAC Group service providers.
- Advising management and stakeholders on service issues, legislative requirements, best practices, and emerging technologies, supporting informed decision-making and adoption of improvements.
- Co-ordinating and managing timely responses to audit actions, reviews, and updates of core contracts and service agreements in consultation with the business.
- Contributing and assisting with broader program activities, including the planning of Insurance IT & People strategy, strategic partnership evaluations, and other duties as required.
What are we looking for in you?
- Tertiary qualification in Business or IT Management is required, with additional accreditation in project management or change management considered desirable.
- Formal certification in Information Security, IT, Risk Management, or Audit is mandatory, with certifications such as CISA or CISM from the Information Systems Control Association highly regarded.
- Extensive experience across the full contract management lifecycle, including service provision assurance management, contractual performance assessment, and SLA/contract negotiation.
- Proven expertise in vendor and service provider management, coupled with demonstrated experience in audit and controls assurance within complex environments.
- Industry knowledge gained from working within Insurance or Financial Services, with a strong understanding of APRA standards, guidelines, and related regulatory requirements.
- Advanced technical and professional skills, including project support, organisation, consulting, negotiation, facilitation, and analytical problem-solving, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and influencing capability, with highly developed verbal, written, and reporting skills to engage stakeholders and support effective decision-making.
What can we offer you?
- A workplace culture where people feel valued, respected, and empowered, with a strong focus on inclusion and collaboration.
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements that support work–life balance and employee wellbeing.
- A purpose-led organisation that reinvests in the WA community and delivers meaningful social impact.
- An environment that supports career development through learning opportunities, training, and progression pathways.
- Free Roadside Assistance along with discounts on RAC products and services including Holiday Parks and Resorts, Security, Finance, Auto Services, and Insurance.
- Opportunities to engage in community initiatives and participate in corporate volunteering programs.
- A strong commitment to employee wellbeing, including access to mental health support, wellness initiatives, and lifestyle benefits.
