**About the role**

Due to sustained customer demand and the increase in technologies installed in Caterpillar’s newest machines, our Technology and Solutions Team is expanding.

With the potential to be based from our Casula or Tomago branch, as a Technology Product Advisor your key focus will be working with customers to ensure they are effectively utilising technology enabled solutions to maximise value add to their business. This position will allow you to utilise your technology expertise and your ability to build rapport with customers to ensure that our customers see return on investment for technology enabled solutions.

Reporting to the Support & Implementation Supervisor and receiving guidance and support from the Technology Product Specialist, you will work closely within the Technology Support and Implementation team to deliver first class support for technology enabled solutions. There will be a requirement for some travel to other WesTrac branches and customer sites at times to fulfil your duties.

Responsibilities will include:

- Providing consultation to customers regarding Technology enabled solutions implementations including maintenance and repair strategies.
- Providing technical support to internal and external customers for Technology Support Requests via the WesTrac Helpdesk and phone support systems.
- Providing familiarisation training to both internal and external customers on technology enabled solutions.
- Providing hands-on technical expertise for complex issues.
- Effective management of product performance and diagnostic reports to ensure Technology enabled solutions are maintained and utilised correctly.
- Work with customers to identify opportunities to improve business operations through adoption and implementation of technology enabled solutions.

This position is Monday to Friday with 9.5 hour shifts inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break.

**About you**
- Trade qualification in Automotive Electrical/Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical field with extensive years post trade experience, **or**;
- Degree qualification in IT or relevant Engineering discipline, coupled with at signification post qualification experience
- High-level knowledge and understanding of radio-based data networks
- Highly developed attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and compile reports whilst providing suitable recommendations
