**About the role**
WesTrac have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the team Based at Tomago, this role will see you overseeing accounts held by our Underground coal customers throughout New South Wales to deliver flexible equipment and technology solutions.
As the Longwall - Product Manager, you will work alongside our team to develop, execute, and maintain equipment sales and support strategies. Utilising your experience within the mining industry, this role will see you building key relationships with our customers to market Longwall products and develop flexible technical and commercial proposals.
**So, what will you be doing?**
- Develop, execute and maintain Longwall equipment sales and support strategies
- Analyse competitive marketplace and industry trends to accordingly develop business strategies for revenue generation
- Establish pricing strategies and guidelines for new product development
- Coordinate with the engineering and manufacturing teams in product development activities
- Recommend product enhancements and updates to identify new business opportunities
- Support marketing team and sales team in developing sales and marketing strategies for the Longwall Product
- Provide support for marketing collaterals, advertising materials, marketing campaigns, tradeshows, and other promotional activities
- Assist in new product introduction and release activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide product engineering, development, management, and sales solutions
- Address customer issues and concerns in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, business flow, sales process and market dynamic
**What are we looking for?**
- Proven comprehensive understanding of mining technologies
- Proven understanding of Underground Coal Mining, preferably Longwall related
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills including current state assessments, troubleshooting, process mapping and business analysis
- The ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with the ability to effectively liaise at a high level with customers and a diverse range of interdepartmental team members
- Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices within a mining environment
- Strong commercial acumen
