**The Role**
Do you enjoy working with complex information and knowledge management systems? Are you collaborative, forward thinking and innovative? Can you demonstrate your proactive ability to support different business units, while managing your own day to day priorities?
The role of APS 6 Principal Information Manager requires an autonomous leader who has a can-do attitude and is able to work within legislative frameworks to support government policy and development, while supporting Defence’s mission.
You’ll be well positioned to manage projects, while making a significant contribution to stakeholders by providing detailed and professional advice on records, information & knowledge management, technical issues, and policy.
If you have developed leadership skills and can demonstrate strategic focus, decision making, initiative and sound judgement, then we’d like to hear from you. We’ll give you the autonomy to set the pace in achieving unit, Division, Group and Defence outcomes.

**About our Team**
Our mission is enabling Defence capability by working in partnership with our clients to deliver integrated services through a highly capable workforce. We support the Australian Defence Force and other Defence enabling Groups in meeting their capability and corporate objectives and play a leading role in integrating service delivery to better align with the One Defence model.
You will be part of the Service Delivery Division which provides essential, on the ground services and support to Defence personnel around Australia.
- Design & develop processes, tools and structures to increase, renew, share and improve the management of records, and the use of information & knowledge within Defence.
- Research, review and develop procedures for the maintenance of knowledge management systems.
- An innovative approach to work that applies holistic thinking towards the continuous improvement of our services.
- Undertake audit and assurance processes, and provide clear reporting to senior leaders and stakeholders.
