**Executive Regional** Manager, **Solid Waste Services**

Our client is an ASX 100, iconic market leader, and today they are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Executive Regional Manager to lead one of their highly successful “Business Unit’s complex operation - with a turnover of circa $40m and 150 employees, this leadership role has full accountability for the operational performance of the business and its service delivery (top - bottom line), employee engagement and development and the customer experience as they support their targeted Qld region. Leading a talented team, this role is a combination of strategic and proactive tactical lead ership.

This Business Unit Regional Manager (Morton Bay, Logan, Noosa, Gympie) is accountable for strategically leading, directing and managing all operations within the Business Unit, working with the local leadership team and supporting functions to deliver on agreed business plans, profit targets and strategic objectives. The BURM is responsible for driving a strategic home safe culture and social license to operate.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Demonstrated executive leadership experience in a logistics - proven expertise in maximising on resource utilisation and route maximisation for a multisite operation
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills - ideally experience developing authentic relationships with council representatives through exceptional service execution and the well executed management of council contracts
- An entrepreneurial flair complemented with a transformational leadership style in a fast paced/dynamic environment
- Proven operating rhythm that enables you to retain line of sight over a multi-site operation
- What is a nice to have is demonstrated experience in waste management ie: taking waste in and promoting the utilisation of recycled resources out (supporting a cyclical economy)
- Proven Executive Leadership experience managing a multisite logistics business, a dispersed leadership team, multiple P&Ls and requiring regular communication to executives leadership
- Demonstrated expertise establishing a clear business unit vision
- Demonstrated preference to be actively involved in the sales activity
- Demonstrated end to end contract negotiation and management including renegotiations (understanding the key levers)
- Exp identifying insights to oversee the identification/management of key market/operational trends, and providing insights and thought leadership
- Demonstrated motivation and experience leading the delivery of council contracts, including working with Council & Community representatives
- Demonstrated experience identifying new revenue streams, including the design and presentation of robust business cases to support investment opps
- Commercial Acumen - demonstrated exp in leading/overseeing pricing of long term industrial service type contracts to max on ROI
- Exp in the development and delivery of budgets in a complex business by overseeing and driving operational discipline, KPI reporting and excellence processes to support P&L performance
- Conceptual & analytical skills with proven capacity to establish commercial directions for a complex business, including successful action plans managing risk and compliance
- Strong knowledge of business reporting and analytical practices
- Exp as a key contributor to the sustainability of a high-performance, values-based and respectful company culture
