**Flight Centre Travel Group** are looking for an **Accounts Payable Officer** to join our team on a **Fixed-Term Contract. **The Accounts Payable area is the centralised point for invoice processing, supplier payments and assistance regarding the resolution of any finance issues that may arise for our procurement business. This role is primarily responsible for invoice processing, accounts reconciliation, payment disbursement and the associated queries from internal and external stakeholders.

**A Day in the Life...**
- Produce and send tax invoices to suppliers chasing commission
- Call and chase suppliers for commission owing
- Receipt supplier commission payments
- Review daily bank statements
- Review and maintain a creditor ledger
- Chase hotels for statements and invoice clients within SLA
- Maintain supplier information in the Accounting System
- Maintaining historical records
- Help operational staff and suppliers with queries

**How we can count on you**
- Fluency in financial concepts
- Ability to think ‘outside the box’ and problem solve
- Excellent back-office system knowledge
- Ability to interpret bank statements, supplier invoices/statements and documentation
- Highly developed customer service skills to ensure mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, partners and customers
- Travel Industry knowledge (Desirable)
- Accounts Payable or Procure To Pay experience (Essential)
- Degree in Accounting/Finance /Commerce (Desirable)
- Minimum 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
- High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
