**The Opportunity**:
Fast growing aged care provider and developer on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team. This is a contract opportunity with the potential for permanent work in future.

**Your day-to-day**:

- Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice discrepancies, payment delays, and other accounts payable-related inquiries
- Maintain vendor files, including updating contact information and payment terms
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accounts payable accruals and reconciliations
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounts payable procedures and internal controls
- Assist with other accounting and finance-related tasks as required

**Who you are**:

- Communicate effectively
- Prior experience is desirable
