**The Role**
Responsible for the stewardship of this fantastic facility, the team and our local community, you will be fully accountable for the venue’s operational, financial and program deliverables. You will develop and execute plans through engagement with the venue’s leadership team.
With a successful track record in marketing, sales, and project management you will continue to develop the venue’s relationship with the community and all other stakeholders to drive the venue’s overall success through the engagement and development of its people.
**The Venue**
**Cleveland Aquatic Centre** offers community members based in Cleveland, Alexandra Hills, Capalaba, Sheldon, Thornlands, and surrounding suburbs with all their swimming and aquatic needs. The venue is managed by Belgravia Leisure on behalf of Redland City Council.
Facilities include an outdoor heated 50m and 25m lap swimming pools, an indoor heated learn to swim pool and outdoor leisure pool with water features. Additional facilities include aqua aerobics, swim squad, aquatic fun days, birthday parties and children and adults swimming lessons.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of polices, processes and procedures.
- Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
- Lead and drive a high-performance community minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
- Achievement of budgeted net profit targets.
- Recruitment of energetic and passionate employees as required to compliment the team and the vision for the centre.
- Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
- Identify staff develop and career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when required.
- Maintain the venue’s facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements
**About You**
You will be a truly seasoned and professional manager, who leads with vision and energy. A true people leader, you will be able to share insights into how you have successfully shaped high performance teams in your career. You can easily articulate the link between employee engagement and exceptional business performance.
**Skills and Experience**
- Highly developed performance coaching abilities.
- Planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
- Demonstrative experience leading a dynamic and complex business operation, preferably in the leisure industry or hospitality.
- Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
**Desirable**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or experience (2 to 4 years) in Venue Management
- Current Pool Operations Qualification Certificate
- Intermediate to advance level computer skills
