Our client is a leading retail owner with a strong and expanding presence in the market, who are currently seeking expressions of interest from Retail Tenancy Design and Delivery Managers to join their dynamic team in both Sydney and Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of retail tenancies across the growing portfolio, ensuring the successful and timely execution of each project.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including leasing, development, and operations teams, to develop and implement innovative design strategies for retail tenancies. Ensure designs align with the brand identity, customer experience objectives, and budgetary constraints.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the design and delivery process, including design development, documentation, tendering, contractor selection, and construction administration.
- Tenant Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, providing guidance and support throughout the design and construction phases. Ensure tenant compliance with design guidelines, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to design intent, quality standards, and safety regulations. Address any issues promptly and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring projects are delivered within allocated resources. Implement cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality or customer experience.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, landlords, contractors, and consultants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts and facilitate successful project outcomes.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in retail tenancy design and delivery, including demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, construction techniques, and building codes applicable to retail environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar design and project management software.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
