Studio Collective was founded in 2015 by long-time friends, Mel and Casey, who set out to build a design studio fuelled by creativity, integrity, and collaboration. Today, that vision lives inside every space we bring to life.

We are a boutique studio based in inner-city Brisbane, partnering with exceptional clients across luxury residential, retail, retirement living and commercial environments. Our projects span Queensland and beyond, with a strong pipeline of new opportunities that will stretch your creativity and bring exciting collaborations to life.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is all about design leadership, collaboration and craft.

You will shape concepts, guide spatial planning, curate finishes and FF&E, present your ideas confidently, and ensure every project is delivered with Studio Collective's signature depth and care. You'll collaborate closely with our team from concept through to installation, ensuring every detail lands with intention and creative integrity.

ABOUT YOU

You're an experienced designer who cares deeply about the work and the people you're creating it with, bringing solid design expertise and a collaborative approach with an appreciation for every stage of the process.

You bring:

  • 4+ years experience in a similar interior design role
  • Strength in concept design, spatial planning and FF&E
  • Confidence in furniture design and styling
  • Excellent product, material and manufacturer knowledge
  • Client engagement skills that build trust and excitement
  • Strong ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors and trades
  • Calm organisation across multiple priorities
  • A collaborative mindset that strengthens ideas through shared creativity
  • A portfolio that shows thoughtful, elevated, beautifully resolved design work

You're proficient in industry-standard design software such as SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, with well-rounded documentation skills to support delivery. Strong styling experience and an eye for furnishings is highly valued.
